Reasons to join a club rather than be independent or just “online/virtual” include:
UNITED VOICES: Through clubs we have a united front and our voices are heard much louder than just one at a time. We become a “choir.”
LEARN MORE: Clubs offer the opportunity to learn more about your rig, about your sport, and the area you live in (hidden trails, special sights, etc.). There is nothing quite like 3 or 4 "experts" standing around your rig giving you ideas on how to upgrade your junk and spend you money!
GET DEALS: With club membership you get deals thru businesses like 4wheel Parts (discounts).
DO IT RIGHT: Going with a club teaches folks the right way to do things, and keeps members up to date on land use issues, law changes, and new places to play. Club activities are usually sanctioned (and safe).
BUILD AN ARMY: Clubs add to our ranks on the internet when the anti-access folks are looking to see how “big” our army is – if you’re just independent, you don’t show up. Clubs do; they have web sites, Facebook pages, etc.
LAND USE: You can learn so much more about land use and keeping trails open by being in a club. Most all clubs have a conservation or land use delegate who attends other meetings and shares valuable insight on saving our sports.
BIGGER PICTURE: You help your State Association stay viable by belonging to a club and being in the Association. And you get to vote on issues that affects your sport and your area.
