JOIN everything you can afford to join, starting with the BRC as your national grassroots organization, then go from there to especially include your State Association.

ADVOCATE for your sport; talk it up and let folks know what you love to do in the great outdoors and why.

INCLUDE OTHERS such as members of the press, newspaper folks, politicians in your area or their staff, and anyone who might influence the future of your trail.

LETTERS -- WRITE THEM! When asked by your State or National group to write a letter about your area, DO IT. We need more voices; we need unity; and we need piles of letters when the chips are down.

NOTE: JOIN, ADVOCATE, INCLUDE AND LETTERS is an acronym = JAIL -- keeping public lands out of JAIL.
